The Best Philips Air Fryer Reviews:
1. Philips HD9650 Air Fryer XXL
When I first saw the Philips HD9650 Air Fryer’s claims, I was very dubious before I received it. Frying food is hardly a healthy practice, is it? This Philips air fryer XXL was for that very reason I never owned any fat fryer. Very occasionally, I would shallow fry food. It was only because this product was advertised as an ‘Philips Airfryer XXL with Fat Removal Technology’ that uses superheated air and a minimal amount of oil to cook the food that I decided to purchase this The Philips Premium airfryer XXL.
When the Philips Digital Twin TurboStar Airfryer arrived, I was surprised at the size. This Philips XXL air fryer was larger than I expected and weighed more. However, I was really impressed with the quality of the product. This Philips Air Fryer looks very smart sitting in the corner of my kitchen. The shiny black finish is very modern and also a conversation piece. Friends that come into my kitchen immediately remark on it.
Setting it up was easy, and the easy start guide provided with the fryer was easy to follow. I had the Philips HD9650 Air Fryer out of the box, washed, and ready for use in under 20 minutes. The result is delicious and healthier fried food that is as crispy as deep-fried with 90% less fat.

3. Philips HD9741 Air Fryer
Even if you already own a low-fat air fryer, you may still find this site useful as several decent recipes and ideas will help you make the most of your new kitchen aid. If you are thinking about getting one, you will find this site useful in helping you to decide whether to get one or which one to get! If you have arrived here as you are trying to lose weight or for medical reasons you have to cut down on your fat intake, don’t go away!
These Philips premium air fryers are ace for low-fat cooking (especially chips!). So, you may have guessed. There are many types of low-fat fryers – a combination of more ‘standard’ types and low-fat air versions such as the Philips HD9741 Air Fryer.
Where traditional deep fat fryers will require you to submerge the food in hot oil, the Philips HD9741 circulates scorching air heated up to 200°C to heat the food and provide a crispy outer layer. The air is pushed around the food, albeit chips, fish, or chicken, to brown them off, making this frying a much healthier option.
A Philips Air Fryer is also helpful for people who are nervous about traditional chip pans and deep fat fryers, which are well known to be the start of many a fire in our homes. There are around 12,000 chip pan fires every year in the UK alone, and, as a direct result of these fires, about 50 people will die. They are also useful for people who find it difficult to grip panhandles or who tend to shake a lot, as they will not be involved in dealing with boiling fats.

4. Philips HD9220 Air Fryer
Finally there is a new kid on the block in the Viva Collection that is the Philips HD9220 Air Fryer. This new competition for the air fryers has recently been launched and is basically a compact air fryer with Philips patented Starfish technology for preparing your starters, main meals, and desserts with a minimum of oil.
Now, I haven’t personally tried this Philips Airfryer HD9220, but it does seem to be gaining a fan base quite quickly. As it is usually cheaper than other products and it makes it an attractive proposition.
More similar to the other Philips Air Fryer, the Philips compact air fryer has a capacity of 28 ounce and if you are cooking chips or wedges, you need just one spoon of oil just the same. Thanks to Starfish technology, all food is exposed to constant, circulating heat, allowing you to cook your favorite foods with a tablespoon or less oil. With the Rapid Air technology, the food will be browned and crisped up evenly.

5. Philips HD9230 Air Fryer
The new Philips HD9230 Air Fryer works using a unique combination of air circulation and a top grill known as Rapid Air Technology. What this does is to provide a uniform combination of heat and air to all areas of the food resulting in a dry crispy outside with a normally cooked inside.
The current cheapest available price is $199 in the black, you can still obtain the Philips Viva Collection Airfryer HD9230/26 seen below for about $180 if you follow any links on this site for this model but this changes almost as fast as I get in and out of the shower in the morning so you may be lucky and get it for less!
Moving on, there have been claims that the Philips Digital Air Fryer will work without oil, but to get any decent taste they have now admitted that you do need a little.
There is a food separator accessory for the Philips which means you can happily cook different foods at the same time. The air filter deals quite effectively with any smells which avoids your kitchen smelling like the local greasy spoon café.
As for cleaning, the basket, divider and pan are all dishwasher safe. In addition if the you have the Philips HD9230 Digital Air Fryer, you can put the baking tray in as well.
When in use, the outside of the fryer will mostly be just warm to the touch, but there are some external areas that will become quite hot. Obviously, the machine should be keep well away from little hands.

6. Philips HD9721 Air Fryer
The appearance of the units are quite different and will of course be down to personal preference. However, my money is on the Philips HD9721 Air Fryer with it’s clean cut lines and unique shape. While everything is hidden away when cooking, this is likely to mean that children will be less inclined to try and watch their tea go round and round. On the opposite side, you have to pull the basket out to check on the contents and shake when cooking some items and the basket can need a good pull to get it out.
The Philips appears to be faster than the Tefal, but both take longer with chips than any other food which maybe fresh or frozen. Given the way these Phillips air fryers work, you are going to get splatter from both of them. With the Tefal this will be on the clear lid (which has been known to discolour and crack), with the Philips this will be mostly on the splash guard below the grill element, but the obvious parts of both machines are dishwasher safe.
Philips HD9721 Air Fryer will cook chips, french fries, wedges, meat and poultry, there are a couple of differences. For example, in the Tefal Actifry Air Fryer you can produce stir fries and currys because of the paddle and a hidden heat element. The Philips Air Fryer can’t do stir fries but will make you a nice sausage roll, bake a muffin, cake or quiche cook stuffed vegetables and brown off pre-baked bread.

Watch Best Philips Air Fryer Reviews Video:
Are you in the market for a new air fryer? If so, you’ll want to watch our best Philips air fryer reviews video. In it, we compare six of the most popular models on the market. We’ll help you decide which one is right for you. So, what are you waiting for? Watch the video now!
Benefits Of Buying Philips Air Fryer:
There are many benefits of using the Philips AirFryer, making it the perfect cooking machine for your home. Not only does it help you to stay healthy by cooking your food using a minimum amount of oil. But, it also makes the task of preparing great-tasting meals as simple as can be.
We all know that we should be careful with what we eat and for most of us it’s been a constant struggle to eat healthy so we can lose a bit of weight or keep ourselves. Neat and keep in shape. Eating a fat free diet, as much as we possibly can, is one of the easiest ways to do this but this has in the past meant eating bland tasteless food and forgoing our favourite treats.
There’s an old saying that whatever tastes great probably isn’t good for you, and with fried foods that’s certainly true. Eating too many fatty foods causes you to gain weight and can also have adverse long-term health effects as it can lead to problems like heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Eating a low-fat diet will not only have you looking and feeling healthier, it could also help to prolong your life.
Let’s fry food without oil:
Philips has introduced Airfryer, the modern revolutionary cooking product which requires no oil to fry and no heat-up time, this specific fryer only need twelve minutes to fry and it is unlike a pan. Philips Airfryer could make crispy chicken nuggets, tasty French fries, delicately browned animal meat or fantastic pastries, and even you can produce delicious calamari by making use of this gadget.
The Philips Airfryer uses a mix of a fan along with a grill, blasting very hot air throughout the food at high rates. There is a technological term for this, the Maillard Effect. The chips brown and crisp just like that toasting operates.
Healthy Food without Compromising the Flavour:
It’s long since been known that eating fatty or deep-fried food is terrible for your health. But, the Air Fryer allows you to get the great taste that you love using only a tiny fraction of the amount of oil. A basket load of chips – enough to feed a family of four – can be cooked to perfection using only half a tablespoon of oil!
Many people think that chips cooked with the Philips Air Fryer taste even better as those that have been deep fired because as they contain up to 80% less fat, you’re getting the true taste of the chip without any greasy after-taste. This is because of the clever way how the air fryer works – by circulating super-hot air around the food as it cooks, everything develops a crispy and crunchy coating.
Safety First:
Compared to the older deep fat fryers that used to be so common, the air fryer is incredibly safe. Chip fat fires are amongst the most dangerous incidents that can occur in a kitchen, as they can soon get out of control and put lives at risk. With the Philips Air Fryer Sale, that simply can’t happen. There’s no boiling oil to ignite, or spill and burn yourself on. The fryer stays cool to the touch whilst in use, and has built in handles for easy carrying and a retractable cord storage mechanism for keeping your worktop clutter-free.
Safety is an important part of the design with this electric fryer, and a consideration that helped Philips to win the “Which Magazine” award for Best Small Home Appliance Brand in 2011.
Odour Free and Easy to Clean:
While everyone loves the taste of fried foods, the smell can be quite off-putting and be hard to shift. Another of the Philips Air Fryer benefits is that it incorporates an integrated air filter to help stop unwanted smells and odours, and keeps your kitchen smelling clean and fresh at all times. Any oily vapors will be trapped by the filter, which can be removed and washed to clean.
All the internal parts of the Philips AirFryer are just as easy to clean too – the cooking tray is completely removable, and the basket easily separated. Both are coated with a non-stick coating, making them easy to clean, and both are dishwasher safe.
Perfect, Healthy, Low Fat Food:
The Philips AirFryer couldn’t be easier to use, and makes cooking healthy low-fat meals simple. It’s the sort of appliance that every kitchen should have, and could revolutionise the way in which you cook your food.
You can buy the Philips Air Fryer from a great range of trusted online stores, many of which can be reached by clicking on the links in the price comparison box to the right. What Is Rapid Air technology?
The AirFryer works by using a unique patented combo of high-speed air flow, with a top grill, called Rapid Air technology. The Rapid Air technology creates very hot air flow quickly all around the ingredients in the container . This heats up the ingredients in the container from every sides at the same time, generating it a healthy and balanced, fast and simple technique to make delicious foods. Food prepared in the AirFryer is deliciously crispy on the outside, without becoming dry on the inside.
Healthy – Rapid Air technology
Standard deep fryers make use of oil to heat the food and produce the crispy coating. The AirFryer doesn’t require frying oil. Your meals are only heated up through the moving hot air. Whenever you air fry French fries, the fries well prepared consist of as much as 80% fewer fat in comparison to fries prepared within a deep-fat fryer. Once you prepare home made French fries, the fat portion could possibly get as little as 1.5%.
Fast – Rapid Air technology
Using the AirFryer, you are able to simply ready your preferred foods in a easy way. French fries is usually prepared within 9 mins. The timer will turn off the AirFryer automatically after the set preparation time. Heating up the equipment requires about 3 mins, but pre-heating is not needed. You could start hot air frying in a cold machine. Simply add 3 mins to the preparation time.

How To Use Philips Air Fryer?
1. How to use your Philips Air fryer (digital display)?
Air-fried food is a popular cooking trend as people are looking for healthier options that don’t compromise taste. Cook your favorite meals with minimal oil and watch them come out crisp, juicy, delicious! To start the cooking process properly and use the stay warm function on your air fryer follow these steps:
Begin the cooking procedure by:
Step 1:
Plug the Philips air fryer’s cord into a standard outlet.
Step 2:
To use the Philips air fryer with preset settings, press the Power button. The Philips air fryer cycle will begin automatically.
Step 3:
Put your food into the frying basket using tongs. We recommend using tongs or heat-resistant gloves when handling food during the use of the Philips air fryer.
Step 4:
Close the frying basket, then use the Philips air fryer’s dial to select your desired preset.
Step 5:
The QuickControl dial can alter the preset by simply turning it to your desired setting. Then, push the button after you’re happy with what you’ve chosen and waited for a new cooking timer on-screen to blink until your food is ready!
Step 6:
It features a QuickControl dial that you can use to set the cooking time, and it also allows you to select from preset recipes in its manual or choose an alternative temperature if needed!
Step 7:
Press the Power button, which is located on the center front of your device. Open the frying basket and use tongs to remove food from the basket when the cycle has finished.
Using the keep warm function:
- The Philips Air Fryer can keep your meal warm up to 2 hours after it has been cooked. This option is perfect for those of us who don’t have the time or energy in our day-to-day lives to cook a fresh dinner each night!
- During the keep warm mode, your Philips Air Fryer will periodically turn on its fan and heater to ensure your food stays at a perfect temperature for up to 30 minutes.
- The Philips Air Fryer has a smart design that includes both a fan and a heater. These work to keep your food warm for another 30 minutes after cooking, without the need for oil or butter!
2. How to use your Philips Viva Turbostar Air Fryer (analog display)?
The Philips Viva Turbostar Air fryer is a brand-new way to cook many different types of foods. When using an air fryer, make sure that all accessories are included for use and that they are in good condition. To get started, follow these simple instructions:
Begin the cooking procedure by:
It all starts with turning on your air fryer! Once you’ve gotten that out of the way, adjust it until its at your desired temperature. Now let’s get started by setting up our timer and selecting an appropriate heat level for what we’ll be making today. Here you’ll find the answers to all of your questions on how to use your Philips airfryer:
Step 1:
Plug in your device and wait for it to turn on before proceeding.
Step 2:
Add oil, butter, or sauce of choice into a pan compatible with this appliance’s total capacity (2 cups).
Step 3:
Place food directly onto metal grill grates inside the air frying chamber – allowing them space, so they don’t touch each other if you’re making more than one batch at once”. Add desired food to the basket making sure it is stable and will not fall over during use or use of small bowls instead of baskets. (try to use only 1-2 cups of food).
Step 4:
Close the top lid and close the basket handle (or use tongs or utensils to place food in basket).
Step 5:
Set temperature control to your desired heat level.
Step 6:
Wait for air fryer to preheat prior to use (approximately 15 minutes).
Step 7:
When cooking multiple foods, use the temperature recommended by Philips and use a spoon to mix contents of the air fryer basket when halfway through cooking.
Step 8:
After use, unplug appliance.
Reduce the cooking time to less than 10 minutes:
To cook something for less than 10 minutes, set the timer on your Philips Air fryer to more than 10 minutes (e.g., 15) and turn it counter-clockwise once you’ve selected how long it should be cooking for in order to indicate what time interval is needed. Otherwise, if you don’t do this step then there’s no way of knowing when the frying process will start or end because without a clock mechanism being triggered properly by turning those numbers around until they’re at their desired setting – 6 mins instead of 12mins – you won’t know exactly when anything starts happening inside that pot!
Putting an end to the cooking process:
One of the most crucial parts about using an air fryer is knowing when it’s time to put a stop to your cooking process. If you happen to get distracted and forget how much time has passed, just turn the timer counter-clockwise until it reaches zero, and that will halt all work on this appliance!

The timer goes up to a maximum of thirty minutes, and this is all the time that’s needed to cook anything you choose. Even a couple of jacket potatoes, which usually take at least an hour in a conventional oven, will cook perfectly in this time.
Once your food is cooked, the timer bell will sound, and the machine automatically switch off and begin to cool down. You just need to remove your food from the basket, and sit down to a tasty and healthy meal.
6. What Makes the AirFryer Healthier?
Because of the how the air fryer works, it is able to produce crispy fried tasting food using a tiny amount of oil. Take chips, for example – an old fashioned deep fat fryer literally soaks your food in oil throughout the cooking process, and the oil and fat can be squeezed out of the chips once they are cooked.
With the Philips Air Fryer, hot air is circulated around the chips in the basket that have been coated with a small amount of oil. The end result is the same – great tasting chips – but the ones that have been air fried will contain up to 80% less fat!
7. What Else is Great about the Philips AirFryer?
Starting with the design, the Philips Air Fryer looks like it’s just come out of a spacecraft and will bring a touch of style to your kitchen. While it looks great though, the talented designers at Philips haven’t forgotten what’s important and have made it super simple to use. In fact, there are just two controls on the machine, making it incredibly straightforward to use.
All you need to do is to set the temperature, adjust the timer and you’re ready to cook! Once your food’s ready, the Philips AirFryer will shut itself off and begin to cool down.
8. Is there any special care I need to take when using my Philips Air Fryer?
Yes, always make sure that you don’t overcrowd your food in order for it to cook properly and evenly; otherwise, foods may stick together or not be cooked thoroughly enough at higher temperatures settings (which can lead to undercooked food). Additionally, always preheat your appliance before cooking as this helps ensure even cooking results every time!
9. Does the Philips Air Fryer have any safety features?
Yes, the Philips Air Fryer is equipped with a number of safety features including an automatic shut-off and cool touch handles for added peace of mind. Additionally, it also has a built-in timer that can be set to up to 60 minutes so you don’t need to worry about overcooking your food!
