How Many Calories In Chicken Breast?:

One of the most popular cuts of chicken is the chicken breast. It’s high in protein and low in calories and fat, making it an excellent choice for people trying to lose weight. In addition, including a variety of lean meats (lean meat is more than 90% fat-free) in your diet can help prevent heart disease.

One skinless, boneless, cooked chicken breast (170 grams) has the following nutrition breakdown 0 calories from fat, 280 calories from protein, and 53.1 grams of protein. Therefore, a 3.5-ounce serving of chicken breast provides 170 calories, 32 grams of protein, and 3.8 grams of fat — that means that approximately 80% of calories in chicken breast come from protein, and 20% come from fat.

To keep calories and fat levels down, trim all visible fat from the meat before eating it. It is also important not to fry it. Instead, grill or bake your chicken breast or eat it cold in a salad.

Chicken breast is a versatile meat that’s great on its own or in a variety of recipes. It can be used as the main ingredient in stir-fries, soups and stews, casseroles, and more. It is often the most popular part of the chicken used in poached chicken breast and chicken with brown rice.
